Remembrance Day Reading:
In our reading lesson on Remembrance Day, we studied the poem 'Counting' by Michael Rosen. We looked at the vocabulary that is used in order to create emotion. We then wrote about how this made us feel as readers.
In Year 4, we value our reading time very much.
We spend 40-50 minutes each day reading to widen our vocabulary and strengthen our retrieval, prediction and inference skills. We also enjoy sharing in our class novel 'How to train your dragon'.
